About Me

Hey everyone! Welcome to my blog.  I pray that as you read through the pages of my life you are encouraged and empowered in your own walk of faith! I am a lover of Jesus Christ, a wife, and mom of three uniquely beautiful children.  My story is not as impressive as some, however, it is the one that the Lord has given me and He has called me to share it with others.  My life scripture is Ephesians 2:8-10.  When I reflect back on all that God has done for me, I am convinced that it is truly by HIS grace that I have been saved and saved for a purpose! The Lord saved me from myself, my past, my failures and my mistakes, and what will be my present disappointments and setbacks.

Like all of us, I am growing daily in my role as a wife, help-mate, and better half.  I like to think that after 17 years of marriage, I am doing something right (with the help of the Lord).  But, I will say, in the early stages of our marriage, I failed tremendously.  You will definitely read about that!   My husband, though not perfect, but perfectly designed for me, is my biggest fan and supporter.  He is patient and kind and too often in my opinion puts my needs before his.  At this stage in our marriage we have learned how to become partners and do life "together".  We are enjoying one another and living life well.  A place that we prayed to get to for many years.

My children have definitely helped to mold me into the woman I am today.  However, I have had to be careful during my years of parenting to not let my role as their mother become my identity...easier said than done!  All three of them fit into the puzzle of my life differently, but are loved the same.  Our oldest, who is our only daughter is amazingly smart and beautiful.  Like her mom, she is a force to be reckoned with when she sets her mind to something. We started life together when I was a single mom and she is my best friend more than she knows.  God has built her to have a heart for the challenged and disabled.  We are so excited to see all that she will do during her nursing career in Pediatrics Oncology.  My prayer, is that I continue to fit in her life as she enters womanhood and establishes her own. There is an eight year gap between our daughter and oldest son and an even bigger age difference of 14 years between her and our youngest son.   I know right, we have children in every stage of life...LOL! Our handsome and talented boys keep my husband and I young.  Aside from their love of sports, they are growing into Godly men who are learning how to live unashamed for Christ, serve others, and be all that God has called them to be.  Though this journey of parenthood has definitely not been easy, it is a joy to watch all of them "do life"!

As a woman I am no different than many of you.  I aspire to be a great friend, confidant, and encourager.  I constantly think about my life and how it has changed over the years.  I think about getting older and I am excited, and then I think about how I am half way through life and sometimes that scares me.  I love people; meeting new people, getting to know people, and serving others.  I am loyal to a fault and I love hard. You can my past for that!  My life's mission is to 'pay it forward' in whatever capacity I can for our youth and women.

My goal through this blog is to make new friends and for us to empower one another.  Stay on the journey with me and together we will let God mold us, use us, and define us.  After all, it is "By His Grace" that we have been saved!
