Expectations

Yesterday was my first day back to work from a 2 1/2 week winter break.  The day went longer than expected, but not for bad reasons. My husband made it home before me and the kids. That morning, I had taken out some meat for dinner.  When I got home, I expected that he had already prepared the meat and put it in the oven since he got there first ... that was not the case.  Immediately I became irritated. I just jumped right into preparing dinner and my only greeting to him was " you couldn't have prepared the meat!" You see, I EXPECTED him to do something that he was not even aware of.  Normally, I would have sent him a text and asked him to start dinner. And although I thought about doing that, I didn't. I just expected he would do it.  My husband is a very routine person, which helps to keep balance in our marriage.
